Grenth, in her madness, destroyed her Bronze son, and murdered her Bronze mate, leaving the Weyr stunned and the Weyrleader dragonless. The feast, nevertheless, will trudge on. Solace Weyr must nevertheless look forward, with Mairin stepping up as Weyrwoman.
10.31.2011 The Weyrqueen's eggs are rocking, and Weyrfolk begin to flood from all over, with Grenth's raving babble ushering candidates and spectators alike forth to what is sure to be Solace's strangest hatching yet. Come one and all to a hatching you dare not miss!
10.04.2011 The Weyrwoman has been murdered! Poisoned in her sleep by an unknown intruder, Maai is now dead, survived by her dragon only because Grenth refuses to leave her unhatched eggs. The sole clues to the identity of her killer are the lingering scent of wher and her whispered last word of 'Southern.' While Grenth's clutch is so far unharmed, she refuses to let anyone come near them. What does this mean for the Hatching?
