Character Number: 1
Name: C'ady
XXX
Age: 21 Turns
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Rank: Greenrider
Wing:----
Birth Season: Winter
Status:Healthy as can be.
Appearance: Tall, thin, long limbs, well-groomed, long neck, short, curly hair. Medium brown hair, brown eyes. Prefers darker clothing with bits of color. Sleepy
To start it all off, C'ady is what one would call attractive.
Attractive in an I-Haven't-Had-My-Coffee yet sort of way. In general, he looks kind of sleepy, like a child that has just woken up from one hell of a refreshing nap. His postrue is good, but he can't help it if he slouches over every noe and aagain, and that he doesn't always look like he's entirely all there yet. It's just how he is. to be trutful, he doesn't nap and he gets no more and no less sleep than he should, so it's all just genetics. Lovely confused genetics. With the unintentional slouching, it's a good thing C'ady had quite a bit of height to his name. Towering over others when standing up straight, at a good six feet and one inch, C'ady needs all the height he can get, because he looses quite a few of those precious inches if he isn't paying attention to how he looks. Most of the time, he is pretty tall. Tall, and thin, and the kind of person that catches eyes without really trying. Because you want to look at something bigger than you, and you migth be a little envious of someone who's rather slim right along with it. No matter how hard he tried, C'ady can't seem to put on weight, but he has thankfully stopped losing it.
Right where the loss-and-gain battle ended is where he is now.Thin enough to be slim, in a way that a lot of people envy because he hasn't had to work a day in his life for it, but not enough so that he looks unhealthy. It seems that even if he shovels in all the food in the world he won't be able to gain a single pound. Not a one, but he seems to be able to keep himself right where he is. Oh, the joy of a metabolism that actually works the way it should. to top it all off, he has long limbs that manage to look average, normal..even if they are longer than others. It's nice, because they aren' too short, which would suck, and aren't too long, which would border on being an abomination. In general, he is well-groomed. Rarely is a hair out of place, unless you've caught him right after the end of a flight or something along those lines. Most of the time, he's clean, well-dressed and just..nice to look at. not that he isn't nice to look at after a flight..or even during it..but still...that's another story. Maybe he would't be so tall if he didn't have that neck of his. it's long, but not in that awkward, gawky stage. It's got an almost graceful look to it, and has gotten it's fare share of attention over the past few turns.
Flights and all..he's never had anything outside of one. Well, nothing stable and meaningful.
Shame, since he's such a pretty thing.
His hair is short and curly. Not franticly tight curls..looser ones that would look rather enticing if they were even longer, but are just the perfect length to run your fingers through. Just a little feel. Just a little touch of those soft, smooth curls..a nice brown in color. None too dark, and none too light. Not even a hint of red in it, sunlight or not, but still a very pretty color. Like chocolate, milk not dark. And it's not i entirely curly, almsot straight at parts..more wavy that anything else..but it's too...curly to be called wavy and wavy alone, if that makes any sense. To match his hair, his eyes are also brown. A fan of bright colors, but not of flamboyancy, he tends to stick to darker colors with accents of brighter ones. Browns and orange...or blue...or green..and black with a myriad of things, but nothing too there.
Personality: Relationship Oblivious, loving, direct, occasionally sarcastic, obedient, passive, pacifist
If you ask C'ady about any of his relationships, he'll tell you two things. They didn't truly exist ant they were all failures. Hell, he wouldn't even call them relationships if he had a nicer word for it, because calling something a fling is much too vulgar. They just weren't right at all, and they were too difficult to even get to,
Let us start at the beginning.
C'ady and relationships don't mix, or at least not very well. He's pretty much oblivious to them. He can't really tell if anyone's truly attracted to him, or if he's just being used..which means he can;t even tell if he's being used and it takes him so very long to figure it out. So, a bad relationship versus a good relationship..he can't tell the difference until it's over, and then he just seems to forget all over again. He can't help it, really, when he does end up in anything. All he wants is to love and be loved in return, and he only ever gets halfway there. C'ady will fall for anyone who takes him in, even if they just want something to keep the bed warm. He can try all he wants, but no one ever seems to want to love him and not just what he is.
Well, except for his Ambrose, but she doesn't count that way. She has to love him.
It's just not the same.
To be blunt, he's direct in his own way. He says things rather bluntly, but in a way that seems almost...nice. Like..he has to tell you what's on his mind but he doesn't want to be hurt, or to hurt whoever's on the receiving end of his speech. He's got a passive sort of honesty, just adding onto that "little lost dog" thing he has going. Afraid to hurt, and so very sad, and clinging onto threads of hope that it will get better. He will find someone. Occasionally, and it pains him when he does, he can get a bit sarcastic. Almost mean, and a scalding kind of humor that leaves burns. It is rare, but when it happens, it tends to just leap out. Then again, that's what happens when you bottle everything up. It comes back to bite you in the end.
Sometimes obedience is a good thing, but it can land you in trouble if you aren't careful. C'ady's obedient nature is a real troublemaker for this rider. He does what he's told, without complaint, even if he doesn't like it. It's always been that way, and it was how he was raised. He doesn't how to say no, and doesn't know how to stand up for himself. So when the users come alone, he's fresh prey. An easy thing to snatch up and steal away until it gets old. He's very passive, hating confrontation like most people hate rape and abuse. He hates those, too..but he won't fix it. He doesn't want to fight..he just wants to wait it out.
Things have to change sometimes.
,
History: Hold-born and hold raised, C'ady islooking for an escape at the weyr. He hasn't found it yet, but he's still looking. And not finding anything...but there's been no reason to give up the search yet.
He had perfectly normal parents, and a perfectly normal set of siblings. An older sister, and a younger brother..and an uncle. His mother's brother, and a good bit younger than she was. When C'ady, Camidy at the time. was nine, Braiken was twenty. Everything seemed okay at first. Braiken acted as his sister's babysitter, watching and caring for her children while she worked with her husband. He payed equal amounts of attention to Della, Camidy and Benn. But as Camidy got older, Braiken seemed to pay more and more attention to him. When he was nine turns, the day os his birth, a form crept into bed with him. A warm, heavy form...with wine-tainted breath. Hands pulled the groggy and confused child to it's chest, as lips skimmed down his neck, around his ear...hands creeping and everything just felt wrong. Like it wasn't supposed to happen, but it wasn't necessarily bad. Just confusing, and it was Braiken. His uncle..he could tell by the sounds of the soft murmurings.
So it was okay, wasn't it?
Whatever it was, it continued until Camidy was searched at fourteen, and that blue couldn't have come sooner. Things had been getting more and more serious between Camidy and his uncle, and it could've gone much too far had he not left the hold. He left his siblings in his care, and that means that Benn is with Braiken. He just knows it, and it's his biggest regret. That blue carried him far and away from home, even as he worried. There was no turning back now, sadly. But it all didn't end there, the using and abusing and whatnot.
That bluerider did more than bring Camidy to they weyr as a candidate. He took him home, kept him as his own in a way. He was a candidate, and at thirteen turns was perfectly capable of doing whatever that bluerider wanted. It went on for months, almost a turn before he was turned away. To the barracks he went, until an older greenrider snatched him up..and so it went, rider after rider after rider, until a clutch was on the sands four turns to this day. Camidy went with so many others, watching as shells shattered and bonds formed. One egg remained on the sane, it's swampy colors practically unnoticed. Those who remained waited, even though it wasn't the biggest egg in the world, certainly not a queen. They all stared, until one foreleg burst out. Then another..and then a head. A green, her colors resonating with her egg. A swampy creature, vaguely resembling an alligator, crawled about the sands. She was a green, oh yes...but an odd-looking thing. Stumpy legs..a stumpy neck..but more on that later...Amazingly, the hatchling waddled up to Camidy, eyes underneath thick, spiky ridges.
Oh...C'ady. Mine, what have they done to you? You look about dead, but that's okay. you can die happy, Mine..Now that I'm here..but I wouldn't be here, would I? no..I'd be dead..It's a shame.
And so C'ady he became.
Lessons were the time of his life, the best turn and a half he'd ever known. No one could touch him, and he made friends. Another greenrider,in his class, and yes..she was female..but she was nice to him, and liked him well enough..so it was okay. It would be just fine. Eventually, lessons came to an end,..but things went wrong before they were every really done. Ambrosineth, his Ambrose, rose for the first time. Her flight was bittersweet. Great for her, but it meant more of fruitless searching for C'ady. The rider who won kept the greenrider for a month or two, tossing him out like trash. Another rider picked him up and another..and another. Every time, because there's always been a space in between, he's gone running to Karie. She understands, in a way, and gives him a place to say because he has none of his own. He just travels from weyr to weyr, living with whoever he;s with at the time. Her home is practically his, and it's where he runs when things go downhill.
Which is pretty often.

Rank: Green
Code: 2f4d32dbe5dc9bbba1
Status: Healthy
Size: 25 Feet
Appearance:
Ambrosineth...is odd.
There is no other way of putting it.
Just, for a moment, imagine an alligator with wings. Yes, it's an odd thought, but that is pretty much what Ambrose looks like. Her face is short, with thick and spiky eyeridges protruding above predatory eyes. Her muzzle, however, is long and bumpy. Ridged just as much as as her eyes, teeth stick out from her upper and lower "lips", some bent at odd angles. Her body is rather long, stretched out and extended by a long tail. It narrows and narrows, ridged down towards the spit at the end, and is terribly whip-like at the end. Her legs are short, and bent rather awkwardly..and she tends to waddle along instead of walking. Her feet are large, and a bit flat, and she seems like she'd probably be better on land or in water than in the air. But she has wings, and therefore..she can fly. They're rather large, especially for a green, but she needs them to get the right amount of lift. There is no doubt that she isn't very agile in the air, but she does better than most people would expect..from a flying alligator.
Which is really surprising..but she seems to prove everyone wrong quite often.
Thankfully, her coloration seems to have taken whatever beauty her build seems to lack. In base color, she is a swampy pine green, a color dull but smooth in it's own right. But that is not the color color upon this hulking beauty. There is a clear stripe of near-white green reaching from the top of her headknobs, between her eyes, and down onto her nose, where it stops. It rests along the top of all the toes on her oaws, and the top of her tail, at the end where it splits in two. Her underside is lighter, but the color isn;t as pronounced as the white-ish markings. The undersides of her wings are marked in the same dusty color, but the top side of her wings really catch the eye. Like expensive marble, the white shade returnes again, mottling the tops of her wings as if some silvered swamp plant came to rest on her wings as she grew. Even if she's lacking in build beauty, she is makred like a star.
A swamp queen.
Personality:
Candidly morbid, contradicting, laid-back, lazy, lapses of low intelligence, tends to ask unanswerable questions, confusing
Mindvoice:
It's feminine, we swear!
Ambrose has the scratchiest, and roughest, voice a green might ever have. Oh yes, it's full of energy and seems to have a very direct southern ring to it. But it's just so..rough. Like she has a constant cough, a chain smoker who's not on the best path, health-wise. It's friendly othwerwise. Until she gets angry, that is. Then it can sound downright dangerous, and anyone who ticks her off better turn tail and run for the hills. Most of the time, just because of her general personality, it sounds pretty even. Like "Oh..hello. Why aren't you dead yet?"
Because that is a common topic for her. Death phobics be warned.

Appearance:

When light hits his hide, or when he moves around, Forfeit kind of looks like his rank. There's flashes of blue, like a sheen around the almost-black that makes him so...confusing. Thankfully, he is not one solid color, as if that really makes anything better. He is marked, on his limbs and tail, like a lynx-pointed cat, stripes of white glaringly bright against the darkness of the rest of his hide. Around his eyes and down towards his nose, the color continues. It stops at his chin, giving him a chubby-cheeked, masked appearance.
