Hello, friend, and welcome to Solace Weyr, the dead-as-shit Dragonriders of Pern site which was recently liberated from invisible-thread hell. Nobody roleplays here any more, but this place is still pretty great. Feel free to stay a while and admire its quiet beauty.

SIDE HATCHING CAVERNS

There's more than one hatching cavern located in the Weyr; although the largest is used the most, there are several smaller caverns connected to it which are used by whers or non-queen dragons when they become egg-heavy. Although smaller than the main cavern, each has the same volcanically-heated sand floor and stands around the edges for spectator viewing.

HATCHING CAVERNS

The Weyr's hatching sands are located at the base of the cliffs, accessible from the Weyr's depths and from the 'bowl, as well as from the Weyrwoman's quarters. Each large, vaulting cavern is floored with scorching sand hot enough to burn exposed human skin, but perfect for incubating eggs. Stands line the perimeter for spectators to sit during hatchings.
