WEYRBOWL | Solace Weyr

Hello, friend, and welcome to Solace Weyr, the dead-as-shit Dragonriders of Pern site which was recently liberated from invisible-thread hell. Nobody roleplays here any more, but this place is still pretty great. Feel free to stay a while and admire its quiet beauty.

CLIFFS

The towering cliffs that border both sides of the 'bowl are pocked with ledges and shallow caves. Dragons like to gather and sun themselves on the upper reaches, which are free of the deep shade that usually engulfs the valley floor.

CORRALS

One area of the valley is ringed by fence to keep in herdbeasts and runners that are kept at the Weyr. The corrals extend from the cliff wall down to the creek that runs through the canyon, which provides a convenient and reliable source of water.

SMITHY

At the edge of the Weyrbowl, tucked into deep hollows in the cliff, the smiths of the Weyr labour to produce all of its vital metal goods. Although spacious, the rooms are open to the air of the outside, and have plenty of ventilation to help keep those inside from getting overheated.

Board Information & Statistics

WEYRBOWL

A large canyon that broadens into coastal cliffs is what serves for Solace's Weyrbowl. Created by a once-powerful river, the valley floor is now mostly bare rock except for a large creek which runs down its very center. Most outdoor business is conducted in the 'bowl, which is accessible from the Weyr on both sides.
