[[posting for giggles lD]]
The green landed on her bonded's pillow, nuzzling his head and humming along with the rest of the weyr. Her boy had laid down for a nap and had fallen into a deep sleep but while he had been sleeping she had gotten a few specks of dust on her nice clean hide and she wanted him to wash and oil her hide till she glowed! She nuzzled his head again, humming though she really didn't care to be humming at the moment. The male groaned something, but merely shifted and pushed the green away from his head, not liking the way she was tickling him while he slept.
Hissing, the green stretched her neck out and bit the male's head hard until he jerked into a sitting position. Holding the bleeding skin on his head, he glared accusingly at the green who had flown out of reach and was sitting innocently on his trunk. She opened her wings and beat them against the air, humming but clearly wanting the attention to be on herself even though Tin had stopped to listen to the noise of the weyr. Humming...it meant something, what exactly did it mean though? He paused, trying to remember before he suddenly remembered it.
A hatching! Oh shards! The eggs were finally hatching!
Tinsley flew off his cot, nearly tripping over himself as his feet tangled in the furs. He stopped long enough to kick them off before running to the door only to turn around and head back into the room to tug his candidate robe on. He called out for the green who merely huffed at him, determined to be washed before she went anywhere in public. He merely laughed and left her there, knowing she would be insulted that he had left her instead of washing her or trying harder to get her to follow him.
The male made his way to the hatching cavern only to stop at the scene that filled his vision. A dead limp form lay on the ground, one of the dragonets was dead how? The insane gold was pressed against the wall with her bronze mate beside her. He was stuck there staring for a brief moment in complete shock before he numbly realized that two dragons had hatched and impressed! They were beautiful, he wished that a dragon would give him that kind of attention that the dragons were giving their newly found riders.
Tin joined the candidates in watching the eggs hatched, everyone seemed to have a safe distance away from the gold and her clutch as if afraid that the gold would try to do something to one of them. "What happened to the bronze?" He asked, suddenly and rather loudly without thinking much about it. He had just arrived, he had a feeling he knew what might have happened but he wanted to know from someone else.
